What is the correct Monogram Etiquette?
When engraving a monogram for one person, we recommend placing the first initial of the last name in the center (and making it larger) with the first initial of the first name to the left and first initial of middle name to the right.  For example:

Jennifer Ann Smith would appear as JSA

When engraving a couple’s monogram for a wedding, anniversary, etc., the first initial of the couple’slast name should appear in the center, with first initial of the woman’s name to the left and first initial of the man’s first name to the right. For example:

Jennifer Smith and Ken Smith would appear as JSK

The other option is to use just the first letter of the first or last name. With this option there are a number of ways that the letter can look like. Plase vist the clipart section for ideas.

Can you engrave tile or ceramic?
Yes, I can spray a solution on the tile and it will bond to the glass where it has been engraved. Certain types of tile will not work.

Can you engrave on metal?
Yes, there are a couple of ways to engrave on metal. With the laser system I can spray a solution on the metal that bonds to it were it has been engraved. This works best with Stainless Steel. I can also engrave on coated and anodized metal. This gives it a nice clean look where the laser as removed the coating to expose the metal. With the Rotary engraver it cuts into the metal. With the Rotary engraver it cuts into the metal. This works best with Brass, Pewter, Stainless Steel and, other metals.

Brass --- pics                                 Rotary engraving only

Stainless Steel --- pics                 Laser or Rotary engraving looks good. However

Stainless Steel license plates look best Laser engraved, and clip art and logos look best Rotary engraved.

Pewter --- pics                                Rotary engraving only

Anodized metal --- pics                 Laser looks best, but you can Rotary engrave also.
Can you engrave on glass or crystal?
Yes, there are 3 ways to do so. The laser system will give it a nice frosted look. This works great with anything you engraved into it, including logos, text, or clipart. The second way to use the laser is by spraying a solution on the glass and where it is engraved will make it bond to the glass. The other option is to use the rotary engraver to cut into the Glass. This works great with monograms and text. However I prefer the look of the laser engraved glass.
